Ohio Players left Westbound for a major label in 1974, but not before recording enough top-notch material to create two more amazing releases for the label that helped make them stars. Far more than an odds-and-sods compilation, Climax holds some of the most compelling songs of the Player’s career to that point. Ever-maturing and complex R&B moves are underscored by their signature funk.
