Never content to rest on their laurels, Ohio Players returned to Westbound in 1973 with Ecstasy. This collection of songs may just be the most cohesive and complex in their entire discography. Sensual, seductive grooves sit side-by-side with dynamite party anthems, and the band’s jazz chops enter the mix even further. The title track continued the group’s chart dominance and their fame and influence kept on growing. They were becoming one of the most important and imitated artists of the 1970s.
